Local author, Jason A. Cherry, having book talk and signing

Join local author Jason A. Cherry for a book talk and signing of his 2024 book, “William Trent: Factor of Ambition,” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, at the Butler Area Public Library.

Cherry is a 2002 graduate of the University of Massachusetts. An independent historian, Jason has reenacted the French and Indian War for over 30 years, portraying the group of volunteers hired under William Trent Jr. in 1754, a unit known as Captain William Trent’s Company. He also has reenacted the Revolutionary War for more than 30 years.

Cherry is the “research consultant” for the 1719 William Trent House in Trenton, N.J., and works as an assistant teacher for Stepping Stones Children’s Center in Gibsonia.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event. Contact Dianne McCauley at dmccauley@bcfls.org or call the Butler Area Public Library at 724-287-1715 for more information.
