McMURRAY — If consistency is the key to succeeding at golf, then Sean Knapp could be on his way to something special.

Knapp, a member of St. Jude Golf Club in Chicora, is in a three-way tie for first after Monday's first two rounds of the $125,000 Frank B. Fuhrer Jr. Invitational at Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray.

Knapp fired a 70-71-141 score. He is tied with fellow amateur Robert Rohanna (68-73-141) and Wheeling Country Club professional Tomas Lindh (74-67-141).

Round 3 will be played today and Round 4 on Wednesday.

Other area notables include a tie at 17th place for John Aubrey of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred and Butler Country Club's Rob McClellan (identical 72-75-147 scores).

Treesdale Golf and Country Club's Joe Boros is tied for 23rd place (76-73-149) and Travis Dickson is tied for 35th (75-80-155).
