MIDDLEBURG — A master falconer is asking people in the area to keep an "eagle eye" out for his missing hawk.

Mike Dupuy has been searching in the snow, wind and cold for the past two weeks for Hanna, a 1-year-old falcon he has had since her birth.

The hawk is trained to hunt for small game and return to Dupuy. She escaped from her house in Middleburg, about 50 miles north of Harrisburg.

Dupuy said Hanna might be hungry, and his fear is that someone will shoot her. He's offering a reward and will provide reimbursement if she causes any harm to livestock.

Dupuy said Hanna is wearing anklets and leg straps and she isn't afraid of people.

DOYLESTOWN — Rescuers battled bitter temperatures Saturday to save an ice climber in a state park.Riegelsville Fire Chief Todd Myers said Steven Scott, 29, fell an estimated 30 feet onto an ice ledge, fracturing his ankle.Scott was one of a party of three scaling ice that ran up a cliff face along the Delaware River in Nockamixon, Bucks County.Myers said Scott slammed onto an ice ledge about 105 feet above the ground.Myers said a Philadelphia firefighter who happened to be ice climbing in the area was able to reach Scott to provide some initial help before local rescuers arrived.The area is a popular destination for ice climbers.
