Henderson

George A. Henderson, 96, of Zelienople, formerly of Bradford Woods, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024.

Born July 20, 1928, in Murrysville, he was the son of the late Alexander A. and Ethel B. (Anderson) Henderson. He was the brother of the late Cora (William) McClean, and the late David (surviving, Eleanor) Henderson.

George began his career as a mechanic and ended after 47 years at Highway Equipment Company as the vice president of service. He enjoyed always fixing things and laughing with his family, and especially spending time skiing and boating on the water.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Alice J. (Stoner) Henderson, whom he married on June 15, 1957; his daughters, Cathey (Bill) Krestel and Barbara (John) Cashdollar; his son, Todd (Jill) Henderson; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

HENDERSON — Friends of George A. Henderson, who died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Chapel at Mount Royal Cemetery, 2700 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, Pa., with Pastor Reid Moon officiating. Everyone please meet at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in George’s honor to VA Butler Healthcare.
