Virginia M. Logan, 96, of Sarver, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at Rosebrook Assisted Living.

Born Dec. 17, 1927, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of Jacob F. Woods and Violet Harpster Woods.

Virginia had worked as a glazer for Saxonburg Ceramics for 29 years before retiring. She was a member of Crosswinds Alliance Church in Butler. She was an organist at her former church for many years. She enjoyed bowling and card playing.

Surviving are two sons, Melvin L. (Sun) Logan Jr. of Sarver and David G. (Cindi) Logan of Leechburg; her daughter, Judith N. (Dennis) Mittica of Valencia; one sister, Marie Altemus of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin L. Logan Sr., on March 2, 2001; one son, Daniel A. Logan; five brothers, Clarence Woods, Charles Woods, Raymond Woods, Glenn Woods and Jacob Woods Jr.; also her sister, Jean Alton.

LOGAN — Friends of Virginia M. Logan, who died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with her son-in-law, Dennis Mittica, officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
