The threat of snow to come didn’t deter work from happening Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the intersection of Airport Road and Route 8 in Penn Township.
The installation of a new traffic signal begins at the intersection known for crashes — some deadly — after the township received a delayed shipment of the poles needed for the traffic signal.
Besides the new traffic signal, a new left-turn lanes, pedestrian crossings and improved lighting are planned for the intersection.
