The typical fire truck has more accessories than a souped up Chevy Cavalier on “Pimp My Ride.”
Carrying saws, hoses, fans and other equipment, most of which comes with the purchase of a $350,000 rescue truck, the vehicles carry just about everything a firefighter needs in the line of duty.
Here are a few of those items that don’t come standard on a rescue truck and their estimated costs, according to Chief Tim Sapienza of the Harmony Volunteer Fire Company.
