CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Township Master Gardeners will host a garden tour at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Penn State Select Trial Garden behind the Sample Schoolhouse on the lawn of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Rochester Road.

The Master Gardeners serve the community through education and the maintenance of public gardens.

The flower garden features a variety of annuals and perennials that change yearly. There are also cranberry bushes for which the town was named.

Also on the tour will be the adjacent vegetable garden. Produce from the garden is channeled to senior citizens through the township's senior center in the municipal building.

The garden is tended by Master Gardeners Dee Graham, Gina Bianchi, Rose Romboski, Nancy Bergman and Bill Belko.

Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and there will be light refreshments offered. The event is free to the public. In the event of rain, the tour will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
