A LOOK BACK
The Pittsburg-Hickson Co. of East Butler manufactured brass beds and employed 500 men plus a sales force in 1909. The company was the largest maker of metal beds in the country and exported to Puerto Rico, Cuba, various places in South America, Mexico, Canada and many other foreign countries. The company made iron beds, brass beds, cribs, couches and springs.
