The Paul Laurence Dunbar Community Center will host a Christmas party from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today for children and their families.

The free party will feature a visit from Santa at about 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

SLIPPERY ROCK — A Moving Concepts program for preschool-age children is being offered to the Slippery Rock community from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursdays beginning Jan. 31 as part of Marybeth Miller's "Movement Education" class at SRU.The free sessions are held in Morrow Field House and are open to children with and without disabilities.Children will participate in movement activities centered on themes of body awareness, space awareness, effort and relationship to others.SRU students enrolled in Miller's class will assist with the weekly service-learning program.For information or to enroll, contact Miller at 724-738-2789.
