Christy and Robert Kozar

Christy Vogel and Robert Kozar, both of West Mifflin, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry Township. The Rev. John Myers officiated. A reception followed at the Marriott.

The bride is the daughter of Leonard and Susanne Vogel of Evans City. Parents of the bridegroom are William and Ellen Kozar of Portage, Mich.

The matron of honor was the bride's sister Stephanie Zinkhann of Butler. Bridesmaids included Judy Pankuch of West Mifflin, Corrie Housholder of Brentwood and the groom's sister, Danielle Vavrosky, of Kalamazoo, Mich.

Performing the duties of best man was Nick Saddock of Ann Arbor, Mich. Ushers included John Osborne of Pittsburgh; Matt Merry of Seattle; John Vavrosky of Kalamazoo; Chris Lane of Amarillo, Texas; and Chris Szczepanski of Dayton, Ohio. The ring bearer was Matt Zinkhann of Butler.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Butler High School, a 1996 graduate of Slippery Rock University and a 2001 graduate of Marygrove College, where she earned a master's degree. She is employed by the West Mifflin Area School District in West Mifflin.

The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Portage Northern High School, in 2002 from Michigan Technological University and in 2004 from the University of Michigan, earning a master's degree. He works for Bechtel Bettis in West Mifflin.

The couple is making their home in West Mifflin. A honeymoon trip to England is planned for summer.
