PITTSBURGH — Two Seneca Valley students were cited for their work in the 2008 Visions & Voices high school student art show at the Pittsburgh Technical Institute.

More than 300 students from 64 high schools showed 710 entries at the opening Feb. 23. Thirty-seven winners were chosen.

Sophomore Freesia Fassbach of Cranberry Township took Best of Category in photography with "Sarah Cave."

Senior Allison Fisher of Cranberry Township took second place in ceramics with "Untitled."

"It has been beneficial to both teachers and students as a measuring tool of the quality, media, and ideas implemented in other school districts, said Jim Nagle, art teacher at Seneca Valley High School, in a written release from Visions & Voices.

Students from Butler County Vocational-Technical School also participated.

The show is open through March 22.
