Seneca Valley graduate and Washington Wild Things player Brian Stoecklein hit his second home run of the season in an 11-9 road defeat of Richmond Friday.

Butler's Michael Hootman bowed out of the C.R. Miller Match Play Golf Invitational held at Oakmont Country Club Friday.Hootman was defeated in the second round by McMurray's Will Miller (3 & 1). In first round action, Hootman topped Latrobe's Shane Brant (3 & 2).

The Butler Junior Tennis team lost to Fox Chapel 15-9 Saturday.The JV team finished 8-4, but the varsity team struggled with a record of 1-11.Grabbing singles victories were Zac McCance, Matt Slamecka, Carolyn Shetter, Pat Fitz, Taylor Green, Heather Santa, Zac Cavaliero and Scott Rumbarger.Slamecka and Rumbarger combined for Butler's lone doubles win.
