Butler graduate Justin Cherry, a sophomore punter at the University of Rhode Island, was named Atlantic 10 Special Teams Player of the Week.
In his first collegiate start, Cherry averaged 41 yards on six punts, including a 56-yarder, in a 37-36 win over Fordham. Four of his punts were downed inside the 20-yard line and two were downed at the 3-yard line.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Clyde Drexler will be presented by good friend Julius Erving during today's Basketball Hall of Fame inductions.Former coach Bill Sharman, already in the Hall of Fame as a player, also will be inducted, along with the late Maurice Stokes, the 1956 NBA rookie of the year; Lynette Woodard, an Olympic gold medalist and the first woman to play for the Harlem Globetrotters; Jerry Colangelo, chairman of the Phoenix Suns; and Drazen Dalipagic, an international star.
