Phyllis Kay Artman
Phyllis Kay Artman, 78, of Roswell, Ga., passed away peacefully Wednesday while surrounded by her family at the Atria North Point Assisted Living in Alpharetta, Ga.
A longtime resident of Sarver, Phyllis was born June 5, 1938, in Eau Claire. She is the daughter of the late Paul L. and Ethel M Hovis Hilliard. She was the widow of Kenneth L. Artman, who died in 2008.
Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Butler High School. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending her time with family and friends. Phyllis was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport and currently a member of Cross of Life Lutheran Church in Roswell.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons, David B. (Dianne Mattingly) Artman of Roswell, Ga., and Thomas A. (Mari Lynn) Artman of Lynchburg, Va.; her daughter, Susan L. (Shayne Clardy) Hersperger of Woodlands, Texas; and her nine grandchildren, Kasey Hersperger, Alexandra Hersperger, Sarah Artman, Connor Clardy, Olivia Artman, Zackary Artman, Jake McCloskey, Shayna Clardy and Shaylee Clardy.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson, Adam Artman.
ARTMAN — Family and friends of Phyllis Kay Artman, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., in Freeport.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport with the Rev. Jocelyn Johnston officiating.
