ADAMS TWP — Mars senior hockey goaltender Bryan Ross has been selected to play for Pittsburgh in the 22nd annual Chicago Showcase in Bensenville, Ill., April 19 to 23.

The Pittsburgh team is comprised of high school players from the PIHL. Pittsburgh is scheduled to play New York, California and Minnesota at the event.

Army women's basketball coach Maggie Dixon, who led the Black Knights to their NCAA tournament debut last month, has died. She was 28.Jim O'Connell, a spokesman for the Westchester County medical examiner's office, confirmed that Dixon died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday. An autopsy was scheduled for today.Dixon was hospitalized in critical condition Thursday after suffering an "arrhythmic episode to her heart" Wednesday at the U.S. Military Academy, said her older brother, Pittsburgh men's basketball coach Jamie Dixon.Dixon said his sister collapsed and was taken to the intensive care unit of Westchester Medical Center."She ... went to the house of a friend for afternoon tea where she said she wasn't feeling good and she collapsed," said Dixon, who read a prepared statement from the hospital.

Chris Sumansky and Dan Gray caught four fish weighing a combined 11.66 pounds to win the recent Keystone Bass Buddy Circuit event on Lake Arthur.Doug Fodfrey and John Ranager were second with five fish caught, weighing a combined 11.44 pounds.The teams of Jim Lipo and Sam Allen, Don Noel and Gary Hoffman, Corey Mrozinski and Matt Mrozinski placed third through fifth, respectively.
