SLIPPERY ROCK — Lyndsi Hughes and Steve Voltz have been hired as assistant coaches for Slippery Rock University fall sports teams.

Hughes will serve as the top assistant to 22nd-year Rock volleyball coach Laurie Lokash while Voltz will be the top aide to 12th-year women's soccer coach Noreen Herlihy.

Hughes, a graduate of Grove City High School and Mercyhurst College, was a volunteer assistant coach with The Rock last year.

Voltz was a high school and club sport coach in Florida and Alabama. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Florida and played soccer in his native Germany.
