GROVE CITY — Grove City College soccer players Bob McNees, Stephanie Wild and Alix Flowers all received Presidents' Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.

McNees received the Men's Offensive Player of the Week for scoring game-winning goals against La Roche and Waynesburg.

Wild received the Women's Offensive Player of the Week for netting three goals and an assist in wins over Waynesburg and Lake Erie. Flowers was Women's Goalkeeper of the Week for allowing only two goals in three games.

BUFFALO TWP — The 13th annual Autumn-Motive Fest at 6 p.m. Saturday will close the 2006 racing season at Lernerville Speedway.The Pure Stock Pandemonium 30-lap feature is the main attraction with small-block Modifieds, Modified Lites and school bus races also are on the card.

NEW YORK — ESPN's first regular-season Monday night NFL game under the new contract drew the cable network's biggest audience ever.The game between the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Redskins, won 19-16 by Minnesota, drew a 9.9 rating, representing an average of between nearly 9.2 million and 12.57 million households, the network said. The previous record was 8.9 million households on Christmas Day 1994 for a game between Detroit and Miami.ESPN's second Monday night game, San Diego's 27-0 win over Oakland, received a rating of 8.5 and was seen in an average of 7.87 million households.
