Tickets for the Mars football team's WPIAL Class AA playoff game with Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Penn-Trafford High School are now on sale.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students and are available from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. through Friday at the Mars High athletics office.

No student tickets will be sold at the gate. For information, call 724-625-9380.

Mars graduate Mallory Bugel, a junior forward on the Westminster College women's soccer team, has been named Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.Bugel ranks third in all of NCAADivision IIIwith 0.88 assists per game, leads the PACin shots and points per game and is tied for third in the league with 11 goals.Westminster (13-5-2) won the PACtitle this season and is playing in the region playoffs.

The X-Cel All-Star cheerleading squads claimed two first-place finishes at the Champion Cheer Central competition at Pine-Richland High School.Twinkle, the youngest squad in the mini level1 division, and Sparkle, in the mini level2 division, both took first place. X-Cel will compete with Elite Cheer Nov. 19 at Fitzgerald Field House in Pittsburgh.
