NATRONA HEIGHTS — All nine FCAGems all-star cheerleading squads earned first-place trophies at a fund-raiser competition at Highlands High School recently.

The Diamonds won Grand Champion of the competition, which was organized by AmeriCheer.

The Rubies also placed first at the ACDCChampionships at Robert Morris College Saturday.

The FCAGems travel to Indianapolis this weekend to compete in the largest All-Star Nationals in the United States.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Glenn Reepmeyer, a senior center on the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team, was named PSAC West Co-Player of the Week.Reepmeyer had 17 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks in a win over Lock Haven. For the week, he averaged 16.7 points and 11 rebounds while adding nine assists, eight blocks and seven steals. He had 21 points and 16 rebounds in an overtime loss to Mansfield.
