Paul Hollstein and Rob McClelland of Butler Country Club shot a 6-under-par 66 Tuesday to finish fourth in the Tri-State Section PGA Head Pro-Assistant Pro Championship at Montour Heights Country Club.

Barry Evans and Jon Stricker of Berry Hills Country Club won the event with a 9-under- 63. Joe Boros and Travis Dickson of Treesdale tied for fifth with a 67.

Seneca Valley graduate Tina Mangola, a freshman on the Ohio Northern University women's softball team, has been named third team Louisville Slugger /NFCADivision IIIAll-America by the National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association.Mangola set school records of 12 home runs, 49 RBI, 59 runs scored, 67 hits and an .876 slugging percentage, winning the Ohio Athletic Conference triple crown by adding a .489 batting average.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forward Tim Wallace to a two-year contract on Tuesday.The 22-year-old Wallace, of Anchorage, Alaska, split time last season between the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the East Coast Hockey League's Wheeling Nailers.He had 14 points in 32 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and 17 points in 19 games with Wheeling.
