HARMAR TWP — Danielle DePollo, 8, of Center Township won gold medals in stroking and freestyle figure skating competition at the Great Pumpkin Skate held Saturday at Harmarville Blade Runners.

DePollo skates for the Warrendale Blade Runners team and is coached by Marty Culberston.

Four Butler County high school girls volleyball teams will be in action in the upcoming WPIAL playoffs.They include:<B>Class AAA</B>• Seneca Valley will face Franklin Regional at 6 p.m. Wednesday at North Allegheny High School.<B>Class AA </B>• Mars will take on Blackhawk at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Knoch High School.• Knoch will host Montour at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.• Freeport will battle Greensburg Salem at 6 p.m. Thursday at Elderton High School.
