SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University junior Jeff Weiss won the NCAADivision IIEast Regional cross country meet Saturday at Lock Haven.

His effort helped The Rock finish second as a team and earn a berth in the national meet Nov. 17 in Joplin, Mo.

SRU junior Jaime Wright finished fifth in the women's meet, earning an individual berth in the national meet.

Weiss and Wright earned all-region honors Saturday.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team has received a berth in the NCAA Tournament.The Rock (16-4-1) is the No. 3 seed in the Northeast Regional and will face No. 12 Adelphi (12-5) Friday in West Chester, Pa.
