BUFFALO TWP— In conjunction with Lernerville Speedway's 40th anniversary season, the racetrack has announced the 2008 Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup and Firecracker 100 will pay $40,000 to the respective winners.

The Silver Cup race — the highest single-day purse on the World of Outlaws Sprint car tour — takes place July 15. Donny Schatz will seek his third straight victory in that event.

The second anual Firecracker 100 — a two-day Late Model event attracting some of the division's best drivers in the country — will be held June 27-28. Scott Bloomquist won last year's event.
