TOLEDO, Ohio — Seneca Valley graduate Kylie Gamelier, a junior at the University of Toledo, was named Mid-American Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week.

Gamelier broke school records in the 100- and 200-meter breaststrokes in a recent meet at the University of Buffalo. She also swam a leg of the Rockets' winning 400 medley relay.

PITTSBURGH — Sid Bream, who kept Pittsburgh out of the 1992 World Series by scoring the winning run for Atlanta in Game 7 of the NL playoffs, is rejoining the Pirates' organization as a coach at their Class A State College farm club.Bream and pitching coach Wilson Alvarez will be the coaches under Brad Fischer, the only new manager in the Pirates' farm system. Bream, who played for the Pirates from 1985-90, lives in Butler County and spent last summer helping to coach an under-19 youth team.This is the first minor league coaching job for the 47-year-old Bream, a first baseman who ended his career with Houston in 1994. He broke into the majors with the Dodgers in 1983.
