RALEIGH, N.C. — Carolina and Pittsburgh swapped minor-league forwards Thursday night, with the Hurricanes acquiring Joe Jensen from the Penguins in exchange for David Gove.

Jensen, 24, has two goals and two assists in 27 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, and the second-year pro has four goals and three assists with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

Gove, 29, has eight goals and 13 assists this season with the Hurricanes' AHL affiliate in Albany, and skated in one game with Carolina but did not register a point. He had one assist in one game last season with the Hurricanes.
