JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley varsity hockey team captain Matt Jarrett was selected to represent the PIHLon the Team Pittsburgh squad at the ChicagoShowcase April 16 through 20.

Nearly 80 high school players tried out for this team. Jarrett was a member of last year's Pittsburgh team that won the tournament.

NEW YORK — The New York Liberty will host the first regular-season outdoor game in professional basketball.The Liberty Outdoor Classic will be held July 19 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The Liberty will play the Indiana Fever in the first non-tennis sporting event at the venue, which is home to the U.S. Open.
