Butler County is gearing up for another season of thrills and cheers as high school football begins Friday, and the Butler Eagle is prepared for it with Football 2008.

The sports staff has assembled previews on all area high school teams, as well as Slippery Rock University and Grove City College, so that fans of the squads can see how they stack up.

Look for Football 2008 in Wednesday's Eagle.

CRANBERRY TWP— Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation hosted its annual golf outing recently at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course and raised $70,000 toward the purchase of a mobile dental unit.Brian Speerhas won the hole-in-one contest on the No. 8 hole and Aloi Construction won the scramble with an 18-under-par 54.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Joe Gibbs Racing selected 18-year-old Joe Logano to replace Tony Stewart in the No. 20 Sprint Cup Toyota next season.
