SLIPPERY ROCK — The Grove City Medical Center recently hired Dr. Richard Filiaggi to work at its outpatient office at 202 Spruce Dr.
Filiaggi completed his pediatric residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh and also completed a muscular and skeletal fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital, which focused on orthopedics and sports medicine.
The fellowship helped Filiaggi explore growing pains that young children experience as their bones and muscles develop as their activity increases.
A Pittsburgh native, Filiaggi recently worked at Butler Memorial Hospital and has lived in Slippery Rock for the past two years.
READING — Boscov's Inc., the department store chain with locations in the Clearview Mall, Clinton Township, and the Beaver Valley Mall, is planning to pay six executives $1.45 million in bonuses.Problem is, however, that about a month ago, Boscov's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, announcing plans to close about 10 store locations in three states.

BUTLER TWP — Cleary Building Corp., is moving from 1245 W. State St. in Butler to 602 Evans City Road in Butler Township.Grand opening ceremonies will take place Sept. 26 at the new facility.The family owned company has been operating building residential, commercial and farm buildings for 31 years with 78 locations in 21 states.The company is based in Verona, Wis.
