CHICAGO — Slippery Rock University senior C.J. Bahr is among eight Division II place-kickers spotlighted Friday by the Fred Mitchell Outstanding Place-Kicker Award selection committee.

Bahr earned the September spotlight by scoring 24 points, connecting on four field goals and 12 PATs, including a game-tying 47-yard field goal against West Chester.

The Fred Mitchell Award is presented in February to the nation's top college place-kicker.

SUGARCREEK TWP — Starting Oct. 16, the first of three ABC Youth Football League playoff weeks will be hosted by East Brady at Sugarcreek Community Park.Game times will be 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. A Jack Lambert football will be raffled.The ABC League features 14 teams, including Prospect, Slippery Rock, Moniteau and Karns City.
