BELLE VERNON — Butler County hockey players played key roles in their teams winning PIHL All-Star Games Saturday at Rostraver Gardens.Seneca Valley's Cody Siegfried scored a goal — assisted by Butler's Jake Tomasovic — in the Southwest's 6-3 Class AAA all-star win over the Northeast.Mars' Elliot Tisdale scored a goal — assisted by Planets teammate Nick Blaney — in the Southwest's 5-4 Class A win over the Northeast. Mars goaltender Tyler Stepke stopped 17 of 18 shots in that win.
CINCINNATI — The Bengals aren't willing to trade Carson Palmer, who wants to leave one of the NFL's least-successful franchises while he's still in his prime.Owner Mike Brown said Monday that the 31-year-old quarterback asked for a trade a little more than a week ago. Brown told Palmer the team wouldn't trade him because he's central to its plans.
