HOPEWELL TWP — Slippery Rock High School graduate Jenna Rinker, a senior on the Robert Morris University women's golf team, won the RMU Colonial Classic Wednesday at The Club at Shadow Lakes.

Rinker had a 154 after 36 holes — tied with Siena's Victoria Nguyen — before winning on the first sudden-death playoff hole.

The win marked Rinker's third tournament title in less than a month. Robert Morris finished second in the team standings.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock men's soccer program will induct seven into its “Ring of Honor” this weekend.Ray Bitar (class of 1963), Thomas Campion (1979), Ryan Gillespie (1995), Gerald Hendershot (1981), James Herlinger (1974), Patrick O'Hara (1965) and Donald Shea (1974) will receive the honor during induction ceremonies at 7 p.m. Friday in the Robert M. Smith Student Center Ballroom.The seven also will be recognized during halftime of The Rock men's soccer match against Millersville Saturday afternoon.
