ERIE — Westminster College junior Heather Santa, a graduate of Butler High School, captured her first Presidents' Athletic Conference tennis championship Saturday, which helped the Titans share the team title with St. Vincent.Santa, the top seed, defeated second-seeded Jacquelyn Hauser of St. Vincent 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles championship match.
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior runner Kara Styles was named Champion Scholar of the 2012 PSAC Women’s Cross-Country Championships Saturday for having the highest cumulative GPA of all student-athletes at the finals.The award was initiated last season. Styles, a senior athletically, is currently a grad student in the doctor of physical therapy program. She has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA through 144 credit hours.
