Super artists needed
A call has gone out for artists to participate in the Superhero/Action Figure Art Exhibit at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.
The show will take place from June 19 to July 10.
Categories include: comic book superheroes and villains; action figures and Japanese anime. Two-dimensional artwork must incorporate an identifiable scene or building from your local community. Three-dimensional artwork is exempt from this requirement.
Posters can be either a painting or graphic design. Copyright laws must be observed.
Two-dimensional posters must be 18-inches by 24-inches in size, framed and ready to be hung. Three-dimensional entries must be manageable and display ready.
All entry forms must be turned in by June 5. All artwork must be turned in by June 12. Drop-off times are noon to 6 p.m. June 11 and 12. All work must remain on display through July 10.
This is a juried exhibit; cash awards are a $100 prize for Best in Show in two categories: artists age 18 and younger, and artists older than 18.
