Lipscomb

George A. Lipscomb, 73, of Butler, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 22, 1951, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late William Lipscomb Sr. and Loretta “Irene” (Nestor) Lipscomb of Butler.

George was a member of the Summit Township Sportsman Club. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed anything outdoors.

Surviving are his mother; three children, Brian Lipscomb, Jeff (Kelly) Lipscomb and Cinthia Lipscomb, all of Butler; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his two brothers, Kenneth Lipscomb and William Lipscomb Jr., both of Butler; his sister, Rebecca Schnelzer of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Deborah (Covert) Lipscomb, who passed away Oct. 18, 2006; and a brother, Malcolm Lipscomb.

LIPSCOMB — Friends of George A. Lipscomb, who died Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
