Mary Phillips, left, portrays the title character in "Esther, the Musical" which will go on stage Friday and Saturday at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College. Also rehearsing are Dave Sloboda, center, who plays King Xerxes and Sam Bartley who plays Mordecai. "Esther" tells the story of an Old Testament heroine being in the right place at the right time. The show by Jeannie Allen of Valencia was first staged in March 2007. Curtain this weekend is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door.
