The Associated Artists of Butler County will open the second annual "Green Show" with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

Awards for the this non-juried show will be distributed at the opening night reception. Cash awards equal to one-third of the total art entry fees will be awarded for best of show and first place in each of the following categories: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media and 3-D.

The theme for this exhibit is anything "green," as in artwork with predominantly green colors; art related to recycling; art created with natural or salvaged materials, and art commenting on the climate.

The exhibit will continue through April 30 during regular operating hours of noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 9 p.m. Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Call 724-283-6922.
