The performing arts series at Butler County Community College will come to a close for the season with "Sights and Sounds" as performed by the Pittsburgh Philharmonic at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Succop Theater.

The concert will feature projected images for part of the program. Music will include "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky, Copeland's "Billy the Kid Suite" and music from the Harry Potter movies.

ZELIENOPLE — "Unlimited" features the music of iconic musical theater composer, Stephen Schwartz, whose most recent production, "Wicked," has become a Broadway darling."Unlimited" will be presented at 8 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Strand Theater, 119 N. SLIPPERY ROCK — The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Keystone Trails Association will present Pennsylvania Hiking Week 2010 from May 29 to June 6.Nearly 100 organized hikes and walks are available throughout Pennsylvania during this nine-day eventJennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528 near the intersection of routes 8 and 173, will host a 90 minute hike for children ages 3 to 8 and their parents at 10 a.m. June 5.The hike will be easy (less than 1 mile) and the trail friendly for strollers, slings, child-carriers or on foot. Strollers must be able to maneuver off road. Children on foot should wear tennis shoes.Jennings is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. Carlton, Pa. — The fifth annual Custaloga Town French and Indian War Encampment will take place Father's Day weekend, June 19 and 20, at the Custaloga Town Scout Reservation, 7 Boy Scout Lane.Musketry, artillery, colonial-themed artwork, tradesmen, games and lectures will be part of the re-enactment in Mercer County.
