National Aviary, 700 Arch St., hosts outdoor free-flight bird shows at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Children's Museum, 10 Children's Way, Allegheny Square, opened "Curious George: Let's Get Curious!" which introduces young children to interactive math, science and engineering-based adventures while emphasizing the role parents and caregivers play. An international children's painting competition exhibition continues through Aug. 1. Museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays; and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Carnegie Science Center, One Allegheny Ave., North Side, offers "King Of Pop," a 45-minute laser show synchronized to the music of Michael Jackson, regularly at 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Weekday matinees are at 3 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday matinee shows start at 1 and 3 p.m. A behind the scenes tour of the USS Requin, the Cold War-era submarine docked on the Ohio River outside the Science Center, take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 8. Science center admission is $17.95 for adults and $9.95 for children ages 3 to 12; admission is discounted for senior citizens on Tuesdays. Parking is $5.
