Jazz appears to be all the rage this weekend.

JazZelie, the Strand Theater's inaugural jazz festival, will feature concerts at 8 p.m. Friday and at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the theater, 119 N. Main St., Zelienople.

Performing will be Kenia of Brazil plus Jimmy Sapienza, The Joe Negri Trio of Pittsburgh, The Benny Benack Band, The Donna Bailey Quartet, and The Pittsburgh Jazz Divas.

Single concert tickets are $30 each, two-concert packages are $49 each and all three shows are available for a $63 ticket.

At Hartwood Acres amphitheater in Hampton Township, a concert by the Joe Sample Trio in the BNY Mellon Jazz Series is planned for 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Call 412-767-9200.
