Family fishing program set
BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will sponsor a Family Fishing Program from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 2 at Alameda Park, off New Castle Road.
The session starts with basic fishing skills including types of gear, knots and casting practice. Participants who attend the entire session will be eligible to go fishing at Alameda Park.
No fishing license is required during the program, and all equipment and bait are provided.
Any adult who wants to attend must take a child, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must be at least age 8. The program will be held rain or shine.
Reservations are required and available by calling 724-284-5383. The event is limited to 40 people.
