The eighth annual Projecting Hope Film Festival will be held Oct. 8 to 10 at Cranberry Cinemas 8 and Oct. 15 to 17 at Waterworks Cinemas in Fox Chapel. The festival will showcase more than 30 screenings of top faith-based and family friendly films from the past year. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted to benefit Mission Vision, a nonprofit ministry that provides free eye exams, eyeglasses and other supplies to the homeless, working poor and underinsured in Pittsburgh and around the world. <B>Rangos Omnimax Theater</B> at the Carnegie Science Center, One Allegheny Ave. next to Heinz Field on the North Side, is showing "Hubble," the film that relates the story of the Hubble Space Telescope, and its role in advancing knowledge of the universe, along with "Ultimate Wave Tahiti" and "Animalopolis."
