Artists are being sought for the “Cold Winter, Hot Jazz II” art exhibit, which will open Jan. 29 at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

The theme for “Cold Winter, Hot Jazz II” is anything related to the art, architecture and music of the Jazz Age, associated with the 1920s and early 1930s.

Artists wishing to exhibit their work must submit their entries by 4 p.m. Jan. 22. Entry fees are $10 per piece for members and $15 per piece for nonmembers.

This is a juried exhibit, with 50 percent of the entry fees to be awarded for Best of Show and first prize in each of the following categories: paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor; drawings and pastels; photography; mixed media, digital art and collage; and 3D sculpture and fiber art.

The exhibit will open with a Meet the Artists opening night reception at 7 p.m. Jan. 29. The exhibit will then continue through Feb. 18.

“Desert Song,” an installation of art of the Sonoran Desert featuring the artwork and photography of Claire “Vimala” Anderson, will be featured in the Members Alcove during “Cold Winter, Hot Jazz II.”
