The 32nd annual Young Artist Competition for college-age musicians, sponsored by the Butler County Symphony Association, will be held Jan. 23 in Swope Hall at Slippery Rock University.

The winner will perform with the orchestra for its March 12 concert.

The competition is open to any graduate of a high school within a 25-mile radius of Butler, or to any student currently attending Allegheny, Clarion, Geneva, Grove City, Indiana, Slippery Rock, Thiel or Westminster colleges. The age limit is 25. Deadline for applications is Dec. 10.
