An Eve For the Arts
The seventh annual Ring in the Arts! celebration on New Year's Eve in downtown Butler will be from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday.
Admission for the entire evening is $5 per person, which includes children older than age 6.
Children 6 and younger will be admitted free.
Performances and events will take place at two locations: The Art Center at 344 S. Main St. and about a block away at Grace at Calvary Church at 123 E. Diamond St.
Grace church will kick off the festivities with a pork and sauerkraut dinner from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:15 p.m.
Other performances will include:
• Occasional Divas, vocals, 8 p.m. at Grace church.
• Mac Martin and the Dixie Travelers, bluegrass, 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. at The Art Center.
• Harold Betters, jazz, 9:15 to 10:30 p.m. at The Art Center.
• Washboard Tony presents a Karmacoustic Show from 11 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. at The Art Center.
While at the Art Center, guests will be able to browse the art entries in the annual holiday show and sale.
