MARS — Penn-Mar will hold its annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 3 at 2 Gilkey Drive. The market will include a bake sale, lunch items, doughnuts and coffee.
MARS — Mars United Methodist Church will hold a "Sanctuary of Quilts" show from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. May 3 at the church on Pittsburgh Street.Old and new quilts will be displayed. Best of Show and People's Choice awards will be given. GROVE CITY — Teens and adults participating in World Youth Day will sponsor a garage sale and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 3 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Route 208.The fundraiser will support those attending World Youth Day in Sydney, Austrailia, in July.
HARMONY — James Adovasio, founding director of Mercyhurst Archaeological Institute at Erie's Mercyhurst College and co-author of the book "The Invisible Sex," will speak at the Harmony Museum's Stewart Hall at 7 p.m. May 3.
MARS — Mars United Methodist Church will host a Pies, Posies and Peddler Market day from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. May 3 at the church on Pittsburgh Street.All pies will be made by United Methodist women. Posies will be in flats, potted, or available as Quality Gardens gift certificates. PETROLIA — The Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department will host its Spring Sportsman's Night from 7 p.m. to midnight May 3 at the fire hall. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.
