Choreography by eight Slippery Rock University dancers and a dance faculty member will be performed when the SRU Dance Theatre presents its annual winter concert “Shifting Ground” at 8 p.m. today through Saturday in Miller Auditorium.Tickets are $10 for general seating and $5 for students and are available by calling 724-738-4926 or at the door.

GCC is hosting a gallery showing to celebrate the work of children's book illustrator and author John Manders. The installation runs from Saturday through Feb. 21 in the Pew Fine Art Center Gallery.Manders will open the showing by making a full-size drawing in front of an audience from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday in Pew Fine Arts Center Room 45. He will then hold a meet-and-greet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.Seating for the demonstration is limited. Attendees should RSVP to Kathy Rhoades at kjrhoades@gcc.edu. No registration is required for the meet-and-greet.The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Fridays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

“Whatever it Takes: Steelers Fan Collections, Rituals, and Obsessions” has been extended through Sunday in Miller Gallery in the Purnell Center for the Arts, 5000 Forbes Ave.Admission is free.
