BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College’s Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery will host a photography show by BC3 student Brian Owen from March 3 to 31.

An opening reception is planned for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 15 in the gallery. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artist and view the show. Light refreshments will be available.

Owen grew up enjoying art and created sketches, drawings and paintings as a child. After he received his first camera, he realized his true passion for photography. He started out using film and now shoots digital photography.

As a student at BC3, Owen experiments with photography in his classes and through personal research. His work embraces a variety of subjects including nature and architecture.

Owen is studying engineering at BC3 and resides in Cranberry Township.

The Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery is in the Science, Technology and Cultural Center Building adjacent to the Succop Theater.
