EAST BRADY— A drug prevention festival will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Graham Field. In case of rain, the event will be held at the community center. The Butler County Farm Bureau Women's Committee will sponsor a bus trip to the Laurel Highlands Sept. 11. Participants will leave at 6:30 a.m. from behind King's Restaurant at the Cranberry Mall, Cranberry Township, or at 7:15 a.m. from Moraine Pointe Plaza's main entrance. WINFIELD TWP— Cooper Cabin Pioneer Homestead will host a Civil War Living History Weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Cooper Cabin is located at 199 Cooper Road off Route 356.Reenactors from several organizations will host a Civil War living history encampment. All reenactors will be in authentic dress and use historically correct gear.Female reenactors will hold a Civil War era fashion show. They also will sell raffle tickets for a Civil War pattern quilt made by the ladies of the 78th Pennsylvania reenactment group.
