The Art Center offers classes

Classes are available at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., for both children and adults. Classes include:

• “Make It in Clay” for all ages, noon to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Nov. 19.

• “Watercolor Wet & Wild” for age 8 through adult, noon to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Nov. 19.

• “Adult Ceramics” for age 18 and older, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 16.

• “After School Ceramics” for all ages, Thursdays through Nov. 17.

• “Kids’ 3-D Art” for ages 5 to 10, 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays Oct. 13 through Nov. 17.

• “Crazy, Creepy, or Charming Candy Bags” for age 4 and older, 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 19.

• “Alter Ego Art” for all ages, 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22.

• “Steampunk Masks” for age 12 and older, 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22.

• “Steampunk Inspired Jewelry Class” for age 12 and older, 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 29.

• “Rust Dying” for ages 10 to 14, 3 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 3.

• “Origami Chinese Lanterns” for ages 5 to 14, 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 12.

Reservation are necessary to make sure there are enough supplies. Call for prices.

The Associated Artists of Butler County concludes its annual Nature & Wildlife Exhibit on Friday at The Art Center.

Entries for the “Strictly Functional” exhibit are due Oct. 15.

Art Center hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free. Call 724-283-6922.
